Testimonials

“Wingecarribee Shire Council is delighted to be the first water authority to utilize the spray lining technology in a full contract scenario in Australia.

Research provided to Council showing the benefits of this methodology with its low risk, high quality and efficient return to service capabilities swayed Council in awarding this contract.

Traditional water main renewals and even trenchless pipe bursting still results in excavation and disruption to the customer’s daily routine, so a methodology that reduces the construction footprint while delivering a quality rehabilitation process and same day return to service can be seen as a further advancement in trenchless construction methodology.

The flexibility of the product being able to be used in a wide cross section of materials such as cast iron, ductile iron, PVC and asbestos cement is a benefit as we did not have to be selective when selecting a reticulation main for the project; each site was able to be judged on the merits of the available technologies.

The project benefits resulted in low customer enquiries, no complaints in regard to taste or odour, reduced handling of asbestos cement pipe, same day return to service and a significant reduced construction footprint in the community.

It is anticipated that the product installed in 1km of 100mm water reticulation will significantly extend our asset life and will reduce programmed and reactive maintenance to the area.

Spray lining will provide another dimension to water authorities when choosing the appropriate trenchless methodology for their rehabilitation projects”
